Will Windows 7 ever include a built-in PDF reader like on the Mac -- if not, what is the best I can use. I do not wish to install large applications like Adobe Reader.

I have found Foxit Reader 3.1.4 (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/index.php) to be very useful. It is 5.11Mb vs. Adobe Reader 9.3's 37.86Mb.

I certainly hope that Microsoft eventually include a built-in PDF reader for Windows. It seems kind of stupid not to, given the huge number of PDF files that we interact with in our lives these days. If they include an image viewer, they should include a PDF viewer.

But unfortunately, there isn't any sign that they're going to include one at the moment... but we'll see.

I don't hope that MS will do so ... the company is mighty enough ;-) They've already implemented an "internet reader" in their OS to kick off the competitors. What would come after a pdf-reader? ...a creator... a real pdf-editor? In the future this would be a big distortion of competition. As consumers we shouldn't wish this. BTW: This all is a question about patents and rights first.
