Have new cumputer with Windows 7 installed, have downloaded Adobe Reader 9.2. Whenever Adobe Reader is needed it gives an error message saying that Adobe Reader has stopped. Then indicates that Windows is checking for a solution, none is ever found.

Any suggestions or a solution would be greatly appreciated.

In a situation like this where you're receiving an unhelpful error message, your best option and first step should be to uninstall Adobe Reader, reboot, download Adobe Reader again and install a fresh copy. Something in your original Adobe Reader installation has been corrupted, but because it's hard to know exactly what, you will have to re-install it to find out if that fixes it.

I have the same problem with WIN7 Pro and acrobat reader 9.3. Re-downloading and installing again did not provide a fix. Nor did Adobe auto update provide a cure.

Does anyone have an answer for this problem?

Uninstalling Adobe Acrobat fixed it for me.
